ALLEGED FAILURE TO REGISTER AS ALIEN

SYDNEY, October 12.

The Acting Commonwealth Crown Solicitor (Mr G. A. Watson) to-day issued a summons against Lars Brundahl, alleging failure to register under the Aliens Act, 1947 The summons has been served. The Minister of Immigration (Mr A.. A. Caldwell) said in the House of Represntatives that Brundahl was born in America of a Swedish father and a German mother who was the widow of a Canadian, and that he had lived in Australia 34 years. The United States had refused to recognise him as an American.
