REVISED ITINERARY FOR ALL BLACKS’ SOUTH AFRICAN TOUR
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, October 11. Commenting upon the selection of the Tamaroa for the All Blacks’ journey to South Africa (sailing in April), the secretary of the New Zealand Union (Mr A. F. Neilson) said the Tamaroa would be a highly suitable ship. There was ample deck space for training, including a lengthy promenade deck, and the quarters would be all that could be desired. The fact that the team would arrive first at Cape Town would mean that the itinerary, which New Zealand preferred of the two submitted in June would xbe the one which would be adopted.
-i This is a different itinerary from that , which a recent cable message said h,ad been .approved, by the South African-Union. The ordei- of matches in the itinerary which now seems certain to'be adopted is:—
South Western Province (Oudtchoorn); North Eastern Province (Aliwall North); Orange Free State (Kronstad); Griqualand West (Kimberley); j3oland (Wellington); Western Province (Cape Town); West Transvaal (Potchefstroom); Transvaal (Johannesburg) ; Rhodesia (Buluwayo); Rhodesia (Salisbury); Eastern Transvaal (Springs); Northern Transvaal (Pretoria) ; South Africa (Johannesburg); Combined Northern Universities (Johannesburg); Natal (Durban) ; South Africa (Durban); Eastern Provinces (Port Elizabeth); Border (East London); South Africa (Port Elizabeth) ; Border (East London); Combined Universities (Cape Town); South Africa (Cape Town).
