BOXING Jackie Jenkins Leaves For England
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Jackie Jenkins, former Auckland and New , Zealand amateur lightweight boxing champion and an unsuccessful nominee for this year’s Olympic Games team, left Auckland today by air Tor Sydney on. his way to Britain, where he hopes .to fight as a prpgessipnal. He has had no bouts this year, but has.been in constant training and plans to seek a contest in Sydney on Saturday night in a preliminary bout.
