Mr Mackenzie King Not Attending, Due To Ill-health
(Rec. 9.35 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 10. The Canadian Prime Minister, Mr Mackenzie King, has been ordered a complete rest on the advice of his medical adviser and will be unable to take part in the meetings of the Commonwealth Prime Ministers. An official statement from his London office said that Mr Mackenzie King’s health had suffered from the
long strain of affairs. This had been aggravated by an attack of influenza during the voyage to England. The condition of his circulation was causing concern. It is understood that another member of the Canadian Government will come to Britain to take his place at the conference.
Meanwhile, Mr Ndrman (Robertson, Canadian High Commissioner, will represent Canada.
