CARNEGIE LIKELY TO IMPROVE AT WAIPUKURAU
Carnegie’s good second to Liebestraum at Hastings last week will proibably send him out favourite for the Central Hawke’s Bay Cup at the Waipukurau Jockey Club’s meeting tomorrow. Form favours his chance 'above that of most of the others engaged. Embrolita will return to middle distance racing in this event, after finishing well into fourth place in the sprint at Hastings last Saturday, and the Australian-bred horse may be the one to test Carnegie. Next in favour is Night School, who showed promise over a middle distance at Otaki. The following horses should race prominently:— Maiden Race.—Cheerful Night, l Tenessee, Thor.
