Israeli Aircraft Purchases -Notice to ask the Minister of Finance (Mr Nash) if he had seen the report that aeroplanes bought by the Israeli Air Force from Britain and other countries had been paid for in distant countries, such as South America and New Zealand, was given by Mr J. T. Watts (Opposition, St Albans) in the House of Representatives yesterday. He asked if the Reserves Bank had knowledge of any such transaction through New Zealand banks. If so, would the Minister take steps to prevent future transactions of this nature?—(P.A.)
