NEW HOUSING BLOCK To prepare the land for the building of State houses a contractor this week 1 commenced levelling work at Chattockville. A block of approximately 30 acres has been taken over by the State for the building of homes, and the plans envisage the erection of 118 State houses with the necessary reading, water supply and sewerage systems and a sports area. In the meantime, a start has been made on the Buller road frontage ol the area, the contractor having assembled a considerable quantity of heavy earth working equipment.
