Dominion was to achieve the requisite strength and state of preparedness, said the Wellington Chamber of Commerce in a statement today. The chamber referred to the reported remarks of the Prime Minister iMr Fraser), which, it said, indicated he shared the view of the Minister oi Defence (Mr F. Jones) that compulsory military training was necessary and called on the Government to reach a decision.
