Professor Piccards Expedition A Belgian correspondent aboard Professor Piccard’s ship, the Scaldis, says that Professor Piccard has decided to make his main deep-sea explorations off the Cape Verde Islands, about 700 miles west of Dakar, instead of in the Gulf of Guinea. If the weather permits. the first experiments with the bathyscope will ‘begin next week.— Dakar, October 6.
