U.S. LABOUR LEADER ATTACKS TRUMAN: ‘UNFIT FOR OFFICE’
NEW YORK, October 5. “Mr Truman is totally unfit for the Presidential office,” said Mr John L. Lewis, president of the United Mine Workers of America, at the union’s annual conference at Cincinnati! toMr Lewis added: “Mr Truman s principles are elastic. He is careless with the truth. He has no special knowledge of anything.
