(Rec 1! a.m.) _ . ■ ■ Melbourne, ■ This. Day.

Widespread drought has cut the Vi dorian wheat harvest c-stimatss to 30.000,000 or 35,000,000 bushels, compared with 'nearly 50,000,000 last season, involving a possible loss of £10,000,000 to the growers. The production drop would seriously affect the economy of the State. Even if rain fell immediately, thousands of acres will not be harvested.. , .
