The Canterbury Education Board was being asked for a report on whether the school committees in the Greymouth Borough were entitled to send two representatives to the Canterbury Education Board, 'said the Minister of Education (Mr T. H. McCombs), replying to Mr J. B. Kent (Government, Westland) in the House of Representatives yesterday. A borough with a population of 8000 was defined as an' urban area and entitled to two members of an education board, said Mr McCombs.
