SAILORS' REVOLT IN PERU: APRA PARTY OUTLAWED
(Rec. 11.35 a.m.) LIMA, Oct. 5. • The Peruvian Life-wing People’s Party (A.P.R.A.) was outlawed today by executive decree for allegedly “preparing and directing” a sailors’ revolt last ' week-end. The party leaders will be tried on charges of being instigators. A Government communique said that 1127 persons had been arrested in Callao, including both sailors and civilians. At least 100 persons were reported killed and 200 injured in fighting between rebel sailors and loyal soldiers before the revolt was suppressed.
