Stranding of Wanganella The only remaining salvage claim against the Wanganella has been settled, the Eastbourne Borough Council, owner of the ferry steamer Cobar, having agreed to accept a sum, understood to be between £3OO and £4OO. It had sought £2OOO. Earlier settlement of the three other claims was made for £34,900.
