ITINERARY FOR ROYAL VISIT TO AUSTRALIA
(Rec. 10.50 a.m.) CANBERRA, This Day. The Prime Minister, Mr Chifloy, announced the full itineiaiy of the Australian Royal tour, /vhich will last 63 days and begin a L Sydney on April 4. The Royal party will spend 14.’. days in New South Wales and three in Canberra before travelling to Brisbane by train on April 21. Alter visiting Bamei hoe I the Rc.val party will travel by the Vanguard to -Tasmania, which they will tour from May 5 to 9 before appearing at Melbourne on May 11. Adelaide will be reached on May 26 and the King will fly to Kalgoorlie and Perth on June 4. The King and Queen will make a farewell broadcast at Pei th on June 10 and will leave the Commonwealth after embarking on the Vanguaid at Fremantle on June 11. A London message says that the. battleship Vanguard, which is taking the Royal Family to New Zealand and Australia, will leave on August 31 for trials and a “working up” cruise in the Meditei i anean. She will" carry out exercises off Gibraltar and Malta and return to Plymouth on November 12.
