(Roc. 2.10 p.m.) ATHENS, Aug. 16. An army communique stated that General Markos’s forces, estimated at 8000 in Grammes area, held only 15 villages of 130 formerly held under their control. Their territory had shrunk from 1287 square miles to 156. The guerrilla losses since the Government drive started in June and estimated at 7845, including 2685 killed The official Government, casualties in the same period were 551 killed, 2830 wounded and 30,missing.
