KIWI AND UNITED HAD CLOSE GAME
Kiwi defeated United by 8 goals to 6 after a close game at Cass Square, Hokitika. The game was evenly contested throughout. R. Parkinson scored two tries for Kiwi and R. Stoop converted one. J. Anderson scored a try and J. Gillan kicked a goal from a penalty. Mr A. Lindbom was the referee.
In a friendly match on the No. 2 ground at Rugby Park, Cobden defeated Celtic seniors by 16 points to nil after leading by 11 points at halftime. Mr J. W. Bennett, of Hokitika was the referee.
