Authoritative London circles discounts'll the report of an impending recasting of relations between Britain, Eire, and Northern Ireland. It was stated that “there is no foundation for conjectures that the Prime Minister (Mr Attlee), while visiting Eire and Northern Ireland, was having discussions with a view to such recasting." . An earlier message stated that the belief is now widespread both in Eire and in Northern Ireland that a meeting which is to take place between the British Prime Ministei, Mr Attlee and Sir Basil Brooke (Premier of Northern Ireland) at Belfast tomorrow is the prelude to nothing less than the complete recasting ol relations between Britain ana Ireland. Discussions, if successful, may mean the unification of Eire and Northern Ireland, along with religious and cultural safeguards for Northern Ireland. »
