SOVIET SEEKS TRADE WITH SIAMESE
BANGKOK, June 6. Russia today made a strong bid for trade with Siam. Mr Arinitechbv, a Soviet trade representative, is at present in Bangkok negotiating for the purchase of Siamese tin, rubber, and other products for Russia. He has offered to import from Siam unlimited quantities of rubber, tin, and coconut oil, and to pay for them in sterling or United States dollars or to barter them for Soviet newsprint, coal, ammonium or other commodities. . Russia is reported to be importing considerable quantities of wolfram from Siam through Chinese dealers in Hong Kong.
