Death Sentences Passed On Two S.S. Men
(Rec. 11.30 a.m.) ■ HAMBURG, April 6. A British war crimes court sentenced to death Colonel Peter Kloss and Sergeant George Griesel, Nazi 1 S.S; men, for causing the death of New Zealand airmen who bailed out at Altenburg, near Cologne, on September 28, 1944. The court also sentenced Horst Barrer, a Hitler Youth member, to 10 years’ imprisonment for shooting an airman in the back after his capture.
