HOKITIKA SIX TEAMS TO PLAY IN JUNIOR RUGBY COMPETITION
Six teams were nominated for the junior grade Rugby competition which will commence at Hokitika on April 17. This was reported at too weekly meeting of the Westland Rugby Sub-union on Thursday evening when Mr H. V. Algar presided. The following teams were nominated. Kiwi, Excelsior, Pirates, Ross, Kokatahi and St. Mary’s. _ It was decided that the senior team., from the Kiwi, Excelsior and St Mary clubs would participate in ihe west Coast competition and that the season would open for all lower grades under the jurisdiction ol the Jumoi Advisory Board at Cass square on April 16. The following players were reclassed as juniors:—H. Diedrichs. J. Ritchie, J. Michel and T. E. J° aes ' One player was readmitted to tne Rugby football code' from League and one fourth grade and a fifth grade team were nominated for the Greymouth competitions. The sub-union will assist players with travelling arrangements.
