Dominion Laboratory Appointments
As part of the reorganisation of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, three appointments have been made at the Dominion Laboratory, Wellington. Mr F. J. T. Grigg, M.Sc., F.R.1.C., F.N.Z.1.C., has been appointed Director of the Dominion Laboratory, Dominion Analyst, and Chief Gas Examiner. Mr Grigg has been assistant-director since 1946, and was formerly Government Analyst in charge of the Christchurch branch of the Dominion Laboratory. Mr L. H. James, M.Sc., F.N.Z.1.C., has been appointed As-sistant-Director of the Dominion Laboratory. Mr James joined the staff of the Dominion Laboratory in 1924, and was for a considerable time in charge of the Dunedin branch of the laboratory. Mr G. Maskell
Smith, M.Sc., A.R.1.C., A.M.I. Chem. E., A.N.Z.1.C., has been appointed chief chemical' engineer in . the chemical engineering section of the Dominion Laboratory.—(P.A.)
