HIGHER SALARIES FOR NURSES ANY DAY’ NOW
(P.A.) BLENHEIM, This Day. A definite assurance that the longawaited new salary scale for nurses would be announced “any day” was given by the Minister of Health, Miss Howard, at a civic reception today. Miss Howard said she thought the new scale would be acceptable. “I do not think there will be any strikes when the new rates come into force,” she added jocularly.
