NEW AUSTRALIAN MIGRATION SCHEME
(Rec. 1.10 p.m.) CANBERRA, This Day.
Former fighting Allies and members of the underground movements of Holland, Belgium, France, Norway and- Denmark who fought against the Axis during the war, will be eligible for assisted passages to Australia, according to the Minister of Immigration, Mr Calwell. The new scheme will apply to men and dependants, who will be subject to the usual immigration requirements and security check.
