AUSTRALIAN T.U.C. SUPPORT FOR BRISBANE STRIKERS

(Rec. 11.15 a.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. Three important developments in the Queensland railway strike have affected the general outlook overnight. Firstly, the inter-State executive of the Australasian Council of Trade Unions has declared itself in support of the strikers and has demanded the granting of their claims forthwith.

Secondly, the executive officers of the New South Wales Trades and Labour Council have lifted the ban on the carriage of goods by rail from Brisbane to Sydney. Thirdly, the Queensland Railways Commissioner announced'that enough trains would run in Brisbane today to carry all people to and from work.
