JEWS AND ARABS USE SNOWBALLS INSTEAD OF GUNS

(Rec. 2 p.m.) LONDON, March 16. The Jerusalem correspondent of the Associated Press says that three inches of snow has fallen in Jerusalem. He adds that the greatest snowfall over the Judean mountains for a generation was still falling at dawn. Pedestrians scattered for shelter today when Arabs opened a barrage with snowballs across the barbedwire separating the Arab and Jewish quarters of Jerusalem. Jews quickly replied. Groups of Royal Air Force men barracked during the half-hour snow battle. Driving snow checked the usual sporadic fighting in the city, where the snow is several inches deep, but snipers killed at least three Arabs and wounded two Jews in Tiberias.
