The following weather forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today: — Situation: Depressions are centred in the Bay of Plenty and east of Napier. Forecast to 5 p.m. tomorrow: Moderate winds from an easterly quarter; weather fair; cool night and mild day temperatures. Further outlook: Becoming unsettled. LOCAL RECORDINGS The following meteorological recordings were taken at Greymouth at 9 o’clock this morning:— Barometer 29.74 in (1007 mil.) Max. air temp, past 24 hours. 67.9 Min air temp 47.6 Min. grass temp 42.8 Wind Easterly (light breeze) Sky blue. Bar Moderate swell. Rainfall nil. Rainfall to date 13.14 in. Sunshine yesterday 11.5 hrs. Sunshine to date this year... 467.5hr5. The depth on the bar at high water yesterday was 21ft 6in.
