(P.A.) HASTINGS, March 15. A win on points was secured . by Noel Fitzwater (Hastings) 9.12, over Doug. Waghorn (Palmerston North) 10.3, in an eight-rounds professional boxing bout at Hastings tonight. There was little between the pairjih the first five rounds, but in the sixth Fitzwater • was down for a count of nine, and in the same round was saved by the gong at another. count of seven. Waghorn attempted a kpockout in the next round, but he was not successful. Fitzwater staged a good recovery, and he adhnhistered heavy punishment. The decision was unpopular.
