McKenley’s Great Heart
A freak heart, which is 13.3 per cent, larger than that of the average human, is. said to be the secret of the amazing speed of the Jamaican Herb. McKenley, who captured Melbourne’s imagination. Doctors say the bigger heart enables blood to be pumped through McKenley’s body much more quickly than the average person, and this enables him to run farther faster than .a normal athlete. Phar Lap, peer of racehorses, had the same unusual attribute, as his heart was heavier than that of other thoroughbreds.
McKenley’s hobby is dancing, but he likes to watch cricket and American football. Golf he considers is too much walking. .He stands a shade over six feet, weighs 11st 61b, has tan skin, a pencil-line moustache, and an accent which is a mixture of American and English.
