BOXING GREYMOUTH TEAM TO COMPETE AT WESTPORT TOURNEY

Greymouth amateur boxers will commence their season’s activities tomorrow when they will participate in a tournament to be staged at Westport. A team of Christchurch boxers, trained by Norman Fisher, the former Olympic representative, will also take part. Of the Greymouth boxers, L. O’Brien, -who has fought recently at Christchurch and in the Westport district, has been matched with J. McMahon, of Christchurch, while a Christchurch jockey, S. Kell, will be the opponent for M. Wpolhouse, of Brunner. A. Barber, of Brunner, has been matched with J. King, of Westport. Opponents are being sought for three other boxers, J. Boddy, of Greymouth, A. McPhie, of Brunner, and J. Porter, of Westport and for-

merly of Greymouth. The two leading members of the West Coast team, however, will be Maurice and Vern Tuck, of' Nelson Creek, the West Coast welter and feartherweight champions respectively. M. Tuck will meet S. Butterworth, a skilful Canterbury exponent, and V. Tuck will engage T. Hawes, of Westport.
