BRITISH HOME FLEET FOR WEST INDIES CRUISE
LONDON, March 10. The naval ■ correspondent of the ■Daily Telegraph says: “The newlyformed 3rd Aircraft Carrier Squadron, which is to accompany the Home Fleet on its dutumn cruise to the West Indies, will,probably consist of three 14,000-ton light fleet carriers of the Colossus class—the Vengeance, Theseus, and Glory. All three are at present in reserve.
“The Fleet will also include the 35,000-ton battleship Duke of York, the 2nd Cruiser Squadron, consisting of the Superb, Diadem, Cleopatra, and Sirius, and two flotillas of destroyers. One z of these flotillas will probably consist of four modern ships, the Agincourt, Dunkirk, Aisne, and Jutland, I which, with a rhain armament of four] 4.. in guns and a designed speed of 34 knots, are practically light cruisers.”
