SEVEN OVERSEAS PLAYERS FOR NATIONAL ORCHESTRA

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The primary purpose of Mr Andersen Tyrer’s recent visit to England was at the request of the Government' to engage players to fill vacancies in the National Orchestra for which there were no players offering in New Zealand. Announcing this today, the Minister of Broadcasting, Mi' Jones, said Mr Tyrer selected seven players who would join the orchestra as soon as possible. _
