f PA) DUNEDIN, This Day. One of the most colourful and arresting processions in the history of New Zealand was staged today in Dunedin as part of the cen tennial celebrations of Otago. The Procession was designated the “Cavalcade of Progress,” and depicted the development of the province from the arrival of the first settlers 100 years ago. . . , There were over 60 massive floats in ine parade, all more than 20 feet long, 11 feet in width and 12 feet in height. _ Great crowds thronged the city streets. to witness the procession. Particular interest was shown in the floral floats. Some of these carried intricate patterns into which hundreds of thousands of blooms had been woven.
