SWIMMING DECISION TO CANCEL CHAMPIONSHIPS

A decision to cancel the West Coast swimming championships which were to have been held on February 21 and 22 at Greymouth has been announced by the secretary of the West Coast Swimming Centre, Mr W. S. McClymont. It was stated that the opinions of the clubs concerned had been sought, and all were in agreement that it would not be advantageous to conduct the championships while the present restrictions, imposed by the Health Department, were in force.
