The following weather forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today: — Situation: An anti-cyclone centred east of the South Island covers New Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m. to-morrow: Light, variable winds; weather fair to fine; cool night but moderate day temperatures. Further outlook: Increasing cloud. Weather gradually becoming unsettled. LOCAL RECORDINGS The following meteorological recordings were taken > at Greymouth at 9 o’clock this morning:— Maximum temp, past 24hrs .... 63.3 Minimum air temp 53.2 Minimum grass temp 49.9 Sunshine yesterday 12.5 hrs ' Sunshine since April 1 .... 927.8 hrs
