‘FLYING WING’ MAKES FIRST TRIAL FLIGHT

(Rec. 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 14. Britain’s first jet-propelled twoseater “Flying Wing” made its first w flight at the experimental station at Boscombe Downs, „ Hampshire, It is the forerunner of a 1500-mile-an-hour gaint airliner seating the passengers in the wings. A Ministry of Supply spokesman said the “Flying Wing” should be regarded as a research aircraft providing useful information for scientific workers and aeroplane manufacturers.
