“Nominate Whole Team!"
Referring humorously to the fact that he did not yet know who his opponent would be, or how many of them there would be, Mr Jack Lockington said at his meeting at Ngahere last night ’that, in his opinion, the Labour Party had got itself “bushed.” “They don’t seem to know where they are,” he added. I am fully expecting all the rest of the men in the original ballot to bob up again before nominations close. Next time, I suggest, they should nominate the whole team, and we’ll take them on single-handed.”
