CHINESE FRUITERER HAD JAW FRACTURED
(P.A.) GISBORNE, This Day.. Medical examination of Willie King, the 7 Chinese fruiterer, who was the victim of assault and robbery in Opotiki on Tuesday night, revealed that his jaw was fractured and that 11 teeth required extraction as a result of the battering he received from his’ assailant, a half-caste Maori. . , * King told the police he saw a second man standing at the door just before he was attacked. He was robbed of a sum of about £l5O, but his assailant missed a tinful of 10s notes valued at between £5O and £lOO.
