SEARCH ABANDONED FOR DUTCH SHIP

(Rec. 12.15 p.m.) ‘ SAN JUAN (Puerto Rico), Oct. 24. The Coastguard announced today that it is abandoning the search for the Dutch motor-ship Koert, which was reported to be on fire and sinking near Port au Prince (Haiti) yesterday. . „ The Coastguard said that unless the radio message was a hoax the ship must have made harbour somewhere without reporting her safe arrival. United States Army and Navy planes and ships of the American and Haitian Coastguard' searched, for 10 hours after interception of the S.O.S. without finding a trace of the ship.
