ENTERTAINMENTS Opera House
Tonight: “Along the Navajo Trail,” .and “Black Angel.” Based on a story by Cornel Woobrich the stirring melodrama “Black Angel” showing at the Opera House tonight has a surprise ending. Dan Duryea has the starring role, assisted by lovely June Vincent and Peter Lorre. It would be unfair to prospective theatre-goers to reveal the story. All that can be said is that they should be on hand at the beginning, for the plot motivation starts immediately, moves with the speed of a P-38 and explodes in the climax with the detonation of an atom bomb.
“ALONG THE NAVAJO TRAIL” Star Roy Rogers plays a U.S. Deputy Marshal in “Along the Navajo Trail,” showing at the Opera House tonight, who disguised as a wandering, song-writing cowpoke, befriends a band of travelling gypsies, who help him solve the murder of his predecessor and to thwart the effort of bad men to cheat honest ranchers. Roy Rogers shows to advantage. Others prominent are Dale Evans, George Hayes, Sons of the Pioneers and Trigger the wonder horse.
