DISMANTLING OF INDUSTRIAL PLANTS IN GERMANY

(Rec. 2 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 13. A list of the 700 industrial plants in the British-American zone to be dismantled and exported as reparations will be announced on October 16, says the Jeue Zeitung, organ of the United States Military Government. The plants, which are valued at £250,000,000 and include 300 war production plants, are not required to raise industrial production to the level set by the latest British and American level-of-industry plan. Four hundred and ninety-three of the plants are situated in the British zone and about 200 in the United States zone, compared with 1000 plants in the British zone and 500 in the United States zone which were to be dismantled under the 1946 plan.
