Oranges Rotting in Raratonga
Oranges and mandarins are rotting in Raratonga, as there is no shipping to move them, said passengers by the Maui Pomare, which arrived in Auckland from Raratonga yesterday. The vessel had to leave a quantity of tomatoes on the wharves because of lack of space. It brought 5000 cases of tomatoes and 3250 cases of bananas.—(P.A.)
