RUSSIAN ORDER TO GERMAN WORKERS
(Rec. 11.45 a.m.) BERLIN, October 10. Marshal Sokolovsky, Soviet military governor in Germany, issued an order demanding increased production and more discipline among workers in the Russian zone.
Marshal Sokolovsky said that in many mines, plants and railways, work, discipline and production were still at a low level.
Equal pay for men and women and increased piece-work in the metal machine, electrical, and coal-mining industries were among the methods of increasing production which Marshal Sokolovsky ordered.
