MINIATURE RIFLES ROSS CLUB HOLDS FINAL COMPETITION

The final competition conducted by the Ross Miniature Rifle Club proved an interesting shoot When Ft, Young returned to form to win the Hotty Button with 98. The town v country match for the Cumming shield was won for country with 670.27 points to 670.26. The team competition was completed by the secretary’s team scoring 925 to win from the president’s team, 922, and the club captain’s, 916. The Tisdall Cup Went to R. Wheeler with 1489. The winner of this cup also secured -.Mr Dingwall’s scaled handicap trophy at the sixth round. The junior cup was won by A. Busch with a score of 1359. The Brocklehurst cup went to W. Carter with 479. A recent three-team postal match with the Reefton club resulted in a win for two Ross teams. ( The highest score at "Tuesday’s shoot were as follows:—R. Young 98-3-100; H.
