(P.A.) WELLINGTON, October 3. One remit deals with a proposal for an improved style of uniform, and also a lighter uniform for summer.

The conference will continue for three days, and will be officially opened by the Prime Minister (Mr P. Eraser), Who is also Minister in charge of Police. A complete new draft of the Police Regulations is to be issued under the recently-passed Police Force Act, and this is to be carefully examined by the conference.
