REEFTON SPORTS CLUB PLANS ATHLETIC MEETING
(O c ) REEFTON, This Day. At a well-attended meeting of. the Reefton Sports Club, it was decided to make an application for permission to hold a sports meeting at Reef ton on January 17 next. A tentative programme discussed at the meeting included four chopping events, cycle racing, and field events. An endeavour is to be made to hold a Reefton-to-Greyrnquth cycle race for a substantial prize, and also a number of field events. ' The meeting decided to enlist the services of Mr W. Mackie in an endeavour to interest Reefton girls m the formation of marching teams. It was decided to undertake a campaign to raise funds to help the clho in conducting its sports meeting. The Rev. Father Fletcher presided.
