National Day of Prayer Observed

Churches in the Greymouth district observed a National Day of Prayer yesterday. In his sermon at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, yesterday morning, the Rev. T. G. Campbell dealt with the economic crisis in Britain and the revival of war-devastated Europe. At the conclusion of his address Mr Campbell said that the district had suffered a great loss by the death of Mr J. O’Brien. As a mark of respect the congregation rose and stood in silence.
