The following weather forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— Situation: A low . pressure trough east of New Zealand is moving away; a ridge of high pressure is developing over the Tasman.
Forecast to 5 p.m. tomorrow: Moderate, variable winds; weather cloudy to overcast with occasional showers; temperatures, cool. Further outlook: Mainly fair.
