CONFIDENCE VOTE IN FRENCH GOVERNMENT
(Rec. 10 a.m.) PARIS, August 11. The French Assembly passed a vote of confidence in the Government by 404 votes to 18'4, The Premier, M. Ramadier, asked for a vote after the M.R.P. and the Communists on August 8 had voted against a Government proposal that the proportional representation system should not apply in the October Municipal elections in the small communes.
