BOYD NEEL CALLS FOR COUGHING CONCERTO A capacity Christchurch audience sat spellbound listening to the rich melody of the Boyd Neel String Orchestra playing Vivaldi’s Concerto Grosso in D Minor. Between movements there was an outburst of coughing. At the end of the number the conductor announced, “We will now. have a coughing interval,” and appealed to sufferers to, get it over with a suggestion that was roundly applauded.'
